Follow labels on a repository and choose which issues you hear about.
A subscription is one repository plus the labels you care about. Manage yours on the Subscriptions page of your dashboard.
Any public GitHub repository works. Type it as owner/name (for example freeCodeCamp/freeCodeCamp)
or paste its GitHub URL.
Pick up to 20 labels from the repository's list. Each one shows how many open issues have it, which helps to spot the labels the maintainers actually use.
Labels are compared without regard to case: Help Wanted and help wanted are the same label.
With no label, you hear about every new issue in the repository.
When you pick two labels or more, choose how they combine:
| Option | An issue matches when it has |
|---|---|
| Any of these labels (default) | At least one of them |
| All of these labels | Every one of them |
For example, with good first issue and documentation set to all, you only hear about
beginner-friendly documentation issues.
Choose what triggers an email. Both are on by default.
| Event | When |
|---|---|
| New issues | An issue is opened with your labels |
| Labels added to existing issues | One of your labels is added to an issue that's already open |
With all of these labels, a label added to an existing issue triggers an email only once the issue has every label you picked: you hear about it when the set is complete.
Pull requests are never included, only issues.
Each subscription has its own frequency: right away, hourly or daily. See Emails.
